ANYTHING ELSE? • My Grandfather, Russell Cook, and Father, Donnie Koch bought this car already modified in 1983. Russell Cook only did factory stock restorations at the time, but fell in love with this car. They fixed it up, gave it a lot of TLC, and improved it over the years. It was both of their favorite car to drive. Now both my Father and Grandfather have passed away, but the car is still in the family, and will continue to be, through future generations.

ANYTHING ELSE? • I replied to an ad, in 1999. The owner had moved to Florida and left the car behind. She’d aquired the Opel when her friend and its previous owner was killed in a car accident. The new residents of her old house were impatient and threatned to charge storage fees. She finally let it go for free, on the condition it wasn’t simply resold to make a quick buck. I promised her.
